Tour Details

Fly into Izmir. Ephesus. Overnight in Sirince.

Visit the world-famous site of Ephesus, exploring the bright marble white of its endless structures and getting a peak into the lives of the ancient elite through the mosaics and details of the Terrace Houses.

Arrive in Tozlu. Hike. Tozlu Camp.

Departing from Ephesus, we’ll stop along the way for lunch and an olive oil tasting. Our first hike of the trip takes us through the boulder-covered landscape of the Latmos Mountains along an ancient paved path still used by modern villagers. As olive groves give way to towering nut pines, we’ll hike through the changing landscape, straight to our peaceful camp. We’ll settle into camp, enjoy an al fresco dinner, and swap experiences around the camp fire.

Hike. Tozlu Camp. 

Another hike takes us deeper into the mystical lands of Latmos, passing the fortresses of Corlenasar and Bagarcik. Witness a land full of the stories of civilizations past, gaze at the very same views as the ancients, and admire the ruins they have left behind. A special village lunch awaits us at the end of the hike. Arriving back at camp, we’ll listen to the sounds of a live acoustic performance as the setting sun provides an unforgettable backdrop to the show.

Hike. Bodrum

Before leaving the mountains for the sea, we have one more day of exploring ahead of us. On today’s hike, we’ll pass 8000 year-old petroglyphs, bright Byzantine-period frescos, and the ruins of two Hellenistic cities all in just 10 kilometers. Our last steps winding through Kapikiri, a modern village built directly on top of ancient Herakleia, we’ll cap off a fantastic hike with a meal at Michelin Bib Gourmand pick Agora. A transfer then takes us to Bodrum for an evening of wandering its lively, seaside streets.

Gulet. Coastal Ride.

After so much time on two feet, today, we’ll experience the coast on two wheels. Cycling along coastal roads through the pine forest, we’ll pass traditional villages where residents still make a living from harvesting olives, raising goats and cows for milk, and fishing the seas. A final smooth descent takes us to the beach of Kisebuku, it’s sands home to the remnants of a Byzantine church. Boarding our boat the sea-faring portion of our journey begins. Another chance for great food, good company, and more stargazing await.

*Option to skip the bike ride and spend the day sailing and relaxing on the boat.

Gulet. Kisebuku Hike.

We’ll hike directly from our home for the night, following a coastal path to the remote bay of Seytan Deresi. Here we’ll enjoy a catered lunch right on the beach before boarding the boat once again. Our afternoon will be full of free time to swim, try out the vessel’s water sports, or just relax in the sun. You’ll also have the chance to head to the village of Mazi for a carpet making demonstration and bit of shopping.

Gulet. Knidos Hike.

Our last hike of the trip takes us straight into the ancient city of Knidos, a sea-lovers paradise surrounded by the Aegean on both sides. We’ll sail across the Gulf of Gokova to the northern side of the Datca Peninsula, departing at Degirmenbuku Bay. A scenic hike takes us past empty beaches and forgotten ruins down into the site of Knidos itself, where we’ll get to know what remains of the legendary city.

Gulet. Back to Bodrum. Departure.
