Three ancient cities, one epic journey! Step into the shoes of philosophers and priests as you visit Didyma’s oracle, Miletus’ thinkers, and Priene’s postcard-perfect ruins. It’s like time-travel… minus the toga.
This tour includes three vastly different but equally interesting ancient sites. The first is the Temple of Apollo Didyma, a sanctuary and ritualistic site for ancient residents of Miletus. The temple is one of the largest of the ancient world, a staggering twice the size of Athen’s Parthenon, and home to an oracle second only to Delphi. Our second stop is Miletus, for a time the greatest Greek city of the East.
In addition to its wealth, the city was distinguished for its contributions to literature, science, and philosophy and is now considered the birthplace of rational thought. Our final destination is Priene, and picturesquely-placed ancient city the makes up for its relative lack of historic importance with its beautiful structures and incredible view.
